Dame Judi Dench is Patron of our campaign asking for you to leave a gift to APT in your will.
You can find out more about leaving a legacy to APT in your will by visiting our Legacies page...
Past presenters of our BBC Radio 4 Appeal have also made an enormous difference:
Kevin Whately talked about our work in Sierra Leone that he had seen for himself when he and Jimmy Nail visited our project ‘turning swords into ploughshares’ which was supported by Comic Relief.
Kate Humble brought our work in Kenya to the attention of Radio 4 listeners when she described how our project was transforming the lives of those living with HIV/AIDS. She says - "APT provides the help to kickstart enterprises to that extremely vulnerable people can become self reliant through their own efforts. Their approach is both practical and enduring. This is exactly what is needed! Please support them."
Some of our fantastic fundraisers:
Andrew Infield has been a long-term, generous ‘friend’ of APT and ran the London Marathon on our behalf. He said ‘I have known and supported APT for many years. They don’t have big marketing budgets, but every penny they collect goes a long way’.
Kay Hallenbeck, who is now living in the USA, ran in the Ostende Belgium 10km race to support our work with blacksmiths in Sierra Leone and Anna Dale made a great contribution by running in the Great South Run and the Great North Run highlighting our projects in both Sierra Leone and Tanzania.
Andy Oddy climbed Mont Blanc and then skied down to Chamonix in the valley below raising funds for our work in Sri Lanka.
