Working in partnerships with local organisations
The strength of our partnerships with local organisations is of great importance. Our partners drive the work in response to needs of the beneficiaries. We use our experience and links with other partners and organisations to strengthen their ability to do this.
Building capacity
Building capacity to sustain the impact of our work. This includes considering how suppliers and other needed services are linked to small scale producers. It may involve strengthening trade associations, community based organisations, other NGOs, or government authorities.
Improving poor people's access to markets
Without Improving poor people's access to markets, enterprises and the livelihoods they generate will not lift people out of poverty, and many are doomed to fail. Enabling access to markets is part of APT's unique positioning.
Learning exchange
As an organisation with specialist knowledge and experience in enterprise development, we feel it is important to share learning amongst our partners and other organisations, and to learn from others.
