BBC Radio 4 Appeal
Last October Kate Humble, star of 'Springwatch', 'The Frankincense Trail' and many other programmes, presented our BBC Radio 4 Appeal highlighting our work in East Africa and specifically in Kenya, helping people with HIV/AIDS. The appeal was a great success and we are extremely grateful to Kate for drawing APT's work to the attention of a wider audience.
If you watched Kate in "The Hottest Place on Earth", when she lived among Ethiopian women, you will know she has a practical and sensitive approach to the people around her.
"From my travels in Africa, I have seen immense hardship - but also the huge resourcefulness of people. APT provides the help to kickstart their enterprises - such as the skills to produce quality products, to negotiate and work together - so that extremely vulnerable people can become self-reliant through their own efforts. Their approach is both practical and enduring. This is exactly what is needed! Please support them!"
