£2 per month would help women in rural areas set up a small enterprise with 3 or 4 chickens to produce eggs or meat for themselves, and some for sale

£5 per month would help to train a trainer in enterprise skills that would be transferred through generations - like better bee-keeping, or soap making, or basic business management skills.
£25 will pay for the equivalent of a kalashnikov, disarmed by the UN, which can be converted by blacksmiths into farm tools in post war Sierra Leone.
£100 would purchase a bicycle and cold storage equipment for transporting fish - basic but critical equipment for an enterprise reaching isolated markets and their communities - missing after the Tsunami.
£1000 would provide support to an emerging local self help group in Kenya for 1 year, helping them to respond to the needs of their communities for many years to come.

One marathon runner, Andrew Infield says...

| Andrew Infield |
"It has been a tremendous experience preparing for it. I used to run regularly in my twenties and early thirties, but then was unable to run for an entire decade because of knee problems. However, I never gave up hope of running again and here I am, amazed to myself that I am actually going to run the marathon!"
He went on to say:
"I have known and supported APT for many years. They don't have big marketing budgets, but every penny they collect goes a long way."
